Turmeric Spiced Salmon

Can we talk about how much I adore salmon? Salmon is loaded with Omega 3's, amino acids and essential vitamins and minerals that are so good for your body! Not to mention it is so easy to prepare. I typically use a lemon, garlic, and salt/pepper seasoning combo for salmon, but recently my husband was on dinner duty and decided to try a turmeric spiced salmon.


So yum!



Turmeric is a beautiful golden spice that is well known for it's potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Additional benefits of turmeric include improving digestion, immune function, and liver health.

Turmeric Spiced Salmon

Ingredients

1 lb. wild salmon
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
coconut oil

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees and line a baking dish with parchment paper
2. Prepare rub by combining all seasonings and minced garlic in a small bowl
3. Place fish on prepared baking dish, pat dry and coat with coconut oil
4. Coat salmon with rub
5. Bake for 5 minutes then finish in the broiler for 5-7 minutes until cooked through and the top is browned

Leftovers are also fabulous in a salad the next day!
