DIY Cinnamon Vanilla Sugar Scrub

Lately I have been on a mission to eliminate as many toxins from my daily life as possible. After doing a little research I was appalled to find out the long list of toxic ingredients lurking in so many of my daily beauty products. From makeup to face wash, moisturizer, body wash, shampoo, nail polish...even toothpaste! I was blown away.

I love a good DIY, so I decided to make my own Cinnamon Vanilla Sugar Scrub.

This scrub smells AMAZING and is perfect for the fall season! The scent will have you thinking of all things fall and pumpkin spice.

It's made with only a few ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry and is so simple to make. Coconut and almond oil sooth dry dull skin, organic cane sugar exfoliates, cinnamon and vanilla provide a warm scent, and a touch of apple cider vinegar brings your skins pH levels back into balance while preventing mold and mildew in the scrub.

DIY Cinnamon Vanilla Sugar Scrub

Ingredients

1 cup organic cane sugar
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon almond oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or the paste from 1 vanilla bean pod
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

Mix the coconut oil, almond oil, vanilla extract and apple cider vinegar in a bowl. Stir in the ground cinnamon and cane sugar. Stir to combine until the ingredients resemble a sugar scrub.

That's it!

Pamper yourself with this sugar scrub made with good for you ingredients without all the toxins.
