December Favorites | Safe Beauty, Home, Food, Fashion & Fitness

A collection of my monthly favorites from December featuring safe beauty, home, food, fashion, fitness and everything in between!

Here are my December favorites!

Safe Beauty

Beautycounter Cleansing Balm // You guys...this balm!! I cannot say enough good things about it. This best selling balm cleanses, hydrates and brightens - It's the ultimate multi-tasker! At first I was a little nervous about the price ticket on this balm, but I have been converted!! I use this nightly to gently remove makeup and cleanse my skin. It has done wonders to heal my dry skin this winter! Plus, it lasts forever!

Beautycounter Instant Eye Makeup Remover // I recently swapped out conventional eye makeup remover that's loaded with mineral oil (read why this ingredient is so bad for your skin HERE!), for coconut oil. While I loved that I made a safer beauty swap, I didn't love the inconvenience and inconsistency of pure coconut oil. This Instant Eye Makeup Remover now makes it so easy to remove my eye makeup, plus it's perfect for travel and has no yucky mineral oil! No more carrying around coconut oil when I'm out of town!

Primally Pure Charcoal Deodorant // I use the Primally Pure Lavender Deodorant daily and will never go back to using conventional deodorant because I love this one so much. I purchased the new Charcoal Deodorant for the Hubs for Christmas hoping he would give it a try, and I'm happy to report that he loves it! The activated coconut charcoal in this deodorant contains detoxifying benefits while deodorizing and disinfecting.

Primally Pure Eucalyptus and Lavender Body Butter // My Mother-in-Law bought me this glorious body butter for Christmas and it is so good! It's amazingly soft and buttery and smells amazing - Like you've been transported to a spa! I love moisturizing with this at night to help me relax and unwind before bed. Thank you Erin - Love you!

Geode Coasters // I've always loved geodes - I think they're so pretty and are all unique! The Hubs got me the prettiest set of geode coasters in rose gold for my desk. I love that they're trimmed in gold!

DIY Geode Ornament // Keeping with the geode theme - These DIY Geode Ornaments are gorgeous! I would love these on my tree next year!

Fur Tree Skirt // This year we decided to change up our usual burlap tree skirt and go for a faux fur grey/white one I found at Home Goods. It was so pretty! I liked to a similar looking one.

Food and Drink

Vital Proteins Collagen Stick Packs // I supplement with collagen daily to support healthy hair, nails, skin, bone and joint health, and digestion. I have the large size tub at home on my counter for my bulletproof lattes and smoothies. You can even stir collagen into soups and stews or use it to thicken sauces. These stick packs made holiday traveling so convenient!

Peppermint Mocha Bulletproof Latte Bombs // Guys, I'm obsessed with my Bulletproof Latte Bombs! I love making new flavors! I started with Cinnamon Vanilla, then created Pumpkin Spice for fall and in December I created Peppermint Mocha! This flavor was perfect for the holiday season! I still have a few in my freezer that I'm continuing to enjoy into January.

Primal Palette Spice Blends // I bought the Hubs a pack of the Primal Palette Signature Spice Blend for Christmas - The blends are delicious and are made with the highest quality organic spices. We are really loving the Meat & Potatoes blend!

Chai Spiced Snickerdoodles // December wouldn't have been the same without holiday cookies! These cookies are soft and fluffy, flavored with a homemade chai spice, and rolled in a coconut sugar and chai spice coating. They're also gluten-free, paleo, vegan and naturally sweetened. We had these on repeat last month!

December Style Tips // I loved the 10 winter outfits Lauren Conrad rounded up in this post. Some of the trends included plaid, faux fur and lots of layers!

Kendra Scott Elton Bracelet // The Hubs bought me this gorgeous bracelet in rose gold druzzy for Christmas to match the necklace he got me last year. I'm in love! The stones are so beautiful and I'm a sucker for anything rose gold and geode - See above!

Quick Tone It Up Workouts // I created this roundup of my favorite quick Tone It Up workouts to help you stay on track during the holiday season.

Tone It Up Holiday Hustle // Speaking of Tone It Up...I love the seasonal challenges these amazing babes create and I look forward to them all year! The Holiday Hustle included daily toning workouts, daily lifestyle challenges, plus accountability, support and love from the TIU Community. If you haven't tried Tone It Up yet, the challenges are FREE and are so fun! You can also join as a TIU member to receive detailed meal plans and yummy recipes! The next seasonal challenge is starting on Monday, January 8th! Will you join me?!

How To Set Boundaries During the Holiday Season // This read by The Everygirl really spoke to me. This is a must-read for anyone who tends to experience higher stress during the holiday season (who doesn't?!) or for anyone who could use some guidance on setting boundaries in general.

What were you loving in December? Will you be joining me for the next Tone It Up challenge?!

  1. Loving this list, Chelsea! I'm also planning on beginning a monthly favorites post! It's fun to share with others what you are loving at that moment and it's also a great way to look back at what stuck with you as a favorite! Also, I need to try your cookie recipe ASAP! They sound delish!

    1. Thank you Marisa! It really is a great way to look back and remember things you enjoyed throughout the month. Hope you love the cookies! They were definitely on repeat in our house this season!
